On December 29, 2016 a traditional New Year`s show for children and grandchildren of VIAM`s employees was held at VIAM.

On December 28, 2016, a traditional New Year`s concert took place in VIAM, at which vocal-instrumental ensemble (VIA) named Sinyaya Ptitsa performed songs.

On December 27, 2016 a General Meeting of VIAM was held, at which the results of the outgoing year were summed up.

On December 26, 2016, Director General of VIAM Evgeny N. Kablov held a traditional meeting with the Council of Veterans of the institute.

December 26, 2016 Evgeny N.Kablov, Director General of VIAM met with young specialists and scientists of the institute.

Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM was reelected as Head of department “Materials science” by decision of the Academic board of Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

On December 14, 2016 a regular creative meeting has been held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials within the project “Synkletos at VIAM”. The guest of the event has become Sergey L. Bogdan, distinguished test-pilot of the RF, Head of flight department of “Experimental design bureau Sukhoi”.

On December 9, 2016, senior students from Bauman Moscow State Technical University visited VIAM.
