On November 24, 2016, Ivan N. Gulyaev, Head of laboratory “Carbon fiber-reinforced plastics and organits” of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM), participated in the 10^th international conference “Composite materials: production, application, trends of the market”.

The meeting took place in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RF with the support of Minpromtorg of Russia. Key issues of the industry development of composite materials production were considered. In particular, the current situation of raw material bases for production of articles from composites, development prospects of the Russian market of composite materials as well as issues of implementation and application of articles from composites in priority sectors of economy were discussed.

Within the framework of the conference, Ivan Gulyaev made a report on application of polymer composite materials of new generation in civil branches of industry.

It should be noted, that representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, Russian producers of composite materials, potential consumers of articles from CM participated in the work of the scientific forum.
