On December 7, 2016, Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the VI Coordination Council meeting of enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the course of the meeting, Leader of VIAM told Rustam N. Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, about the results of joint work, which were achieved by the institute and the enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, he noted the unique achievement of the Republic – mastering the modest environmental friendly and the only in Russia polycarbonate production. Besides, Evgeny Kablov pointed out, that developed in RT production of carbon fibers for polymer composite materials would allow to solve problem of import substitution in our country.

In that regard, he held as an example of complex innovative project “Mast” within which a technology for production of PCM of new generation to produce telescoping masts had been developed. These masts will be used in transport specialized vehicles for complete overhaul and development of oil and gas wells.

Director General of the institute specially focused on the projects in the field of additive technologies, implemented jointly with JSC “KMPO” and JSC “Experimental design bureau named after M.P. Simonov”.

In conclusion, Evgeny Kablov expressed confidence in active expansion of cooperation with enterprises of Tatarstan and thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for support.
