On December 7, 2016, Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in a solemn opening ceremony of the XVI International Exhibition “Machine-building. Metal processing. Kazan” and the XI specialized exhibition “Technowelding”.

Rustam N. Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Albert A. Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade of RT, Ravil Kh. Zaripov, Assistant to President of RT, Gennady B. Svidersky, First Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, Leaders of the republican authorities, representatives of large enterprises of machine-building industry of the region and Russia also participated in the meeting.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the choice of Tatarstan`s capital to hold the exhibition was a good solution. “It is a good platform to solve actual issues for industry. I wish you success in your work”, - he said to the participants of the meeting.

After the solemn opening of the exhibition Evgeny Kablov among distinguished guests got acquainted with the exposition of participants.

It should be noted, that 166 enterprises from 13 countries of the world were presented at the exhibition this year.
