October 18, 2013  the General director of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM), academician of RAS Evgeny Nikolaevich Kablov took part in the 17-th sitting of the commission on preparation of regular meetings of the Heads of the Governments of China and Russia.

In October 7-18, 2013 specialists of engineering-technical profile worked on probation at the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials.

Representatives of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) Sergey Golynets, Vasily Listarkov, George Nuzhny, Vladimir Krylov and Alexander Ilyichev took part in the XXII International forum on material testing "TestExpo 2013" which traditionally was held in the German city  Ulm on October  14 -17, 2013. The main organizer of the forum was Zwick/Roell Group, one of the world leaders on production of test equipment.

A bench for tests of ship reinforcing elements made of shipbuilding steel under conditions of moving sea water was recently delivered to the G. V. Akimov Gelendjik climatic testing center (branch of VIAM).

On October 11, 2013 the delegation of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) headed by academician Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM, took part in the joint meeting with JSC Rostvertol and Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant held in Rostov-on-Don. 

On October 7-10, 2013 Fyodor Karachevtsev and Gennady Orlov, representatives of VIAM made a business trip to Germany (Karlsruhe).

On October 10, 2013 academician Evgeny N. Kablov , Director General of FSUE “VIAM” took part in the meeting of the Council of general designers under the Government of the Russian Federation held in the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event was headed by Dmitry O. Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

On October 10, 2013 academician Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of FSUE “VIAM” told about activities of the institute to the survey squad of TV channel «Russia 24». 

Representatives of VIAM, Victor Murashov, Darya Lozhkova and Valery Bondareva took part in the fifth European-American workshop on Reliability of NDE held on October 7-10, 2013. The workshop was held in Berlin at the Federal institute for materials and testing (BAM) and was organized by the European federation of non-destructive testing (EF NDT) and  the German society of non-destructive testing (DGZfP).

On October 9, 2013 the certificates about working on probation were presented at the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) to young specialists of Samara state aerospace university after the name of S.P. Korolyov (SGAU). Since the 19-th of September the graduates of SSAU  Vladimir Platonov, Ramaz Charkviani and Nikolai Stepanov have been acquiring new knowledge and practical experience at VIAM against the program «Polymer composite materials».

On October 1-3, 2013 representatives of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) Svyatoslav Nerush and Pavel Min took part in the II International scientific-practical conference «Perspectives of development of metallurgy and machine building when using completed fundamental investigations and SRD works».

On October 3, 2013 during the sixth St-Petersburg scientific forum   «Science and Society» deputy general director of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) , Candidate of Engineering Sciences Vladislav V. Antipov made a plenary report   «New generation of materials and perspective technologies of their processing: metals, polymers, ceramics».

On September 30-October 4, 2013 representatives of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took part in the conference «Intermetallics 2013», which took place in Germany in the educational center «Kloster Banz» (Bavaria).

On October 1, 2013 academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov Director General of All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM), took part in the XX International scientific-engineering conference «Structures and technologies of manufacture of articles from non-metallic materials», timed to 25 years of space shuttle «Buran» flight.

On October 1, 2013 academician of RAS Nicolai P. Alyoshin visited Gelendjik climatic testing center after the name of G.V. Akimov, branch of VIAM.  

Negotiations with representatives of European Aerospace Defense Society (EADS) took place at All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) in September 27, 2013.
