On October 3, 2013 during the sixth St-Petersburg scientific forum   «Science and Society» deputy general director of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) , Candidate of Engineering Sciences Vladislav V. Antipov made a plenary report   «New generation of materials and perspective technologies of their processing: metals, polymers, ceramics».

The event was taking place September 30 - October 4 2013 at the St-Petersburg scientific center RAS and St-Petersburg academic university – scientific-educational nanotechnology center of RAS. During the forum the VIII meeting of Nobel Prize winners also took place.

«At the forum in the Northern capital advanced technologies were considered. An introduction of them at the nearest future may considerably change our life», said Vladislav Antipov.

The Nobel laureates academician of RAS Jores Alferov (physics, 2000), Stanly Pruziner (physiology and medicine, 1997) and Roger Kornberg (chemistry, 2006) made reports at the forum.
