President Vladimir V. Putin has awarded the State Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of science and technology to academician Evgeny Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM), in St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace on the Day of Russia.

The employees of VIAM have taken part in the championship of the second mini-football aviation league held among the Moscow institutions of aviation industry. The competition, which took place from March to June 2015, was organized by the Moscow city organization of the Russian aviation trade union (MGO Profavia).

On June 10, 2015, the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin on awarding the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for 2014 was declared at a special briefing held in the Kremlin. The names of the winners of the State Prize were announced by Andrei Fursenko, aide of the President of the Russian Federation.

On June 8, 2015, the delegation, which included representatives of "Perm Scientific-Industrial Instrument Making Company" JSC (PNPPK), "Inversion Sensor" Ltd and the Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics of Ural Branch of RAS (ICMM UB of RAS) have visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

On June 1-5, 2015, Elena Dolgova, representative of VIAM has visited the V International Conference-school on chemistry and physical chemistry of oligomers took place at Volgograd State Technical University. Lectures of leading scientists, oral presentations and poster sessions were included in the scientific program.

On June 5, 2015, Cand. of Sc. (Tech.) Olga G. Ospennikova, head of scientific-research bureau «Heat-resistant cast and wrought alloys and steels, protective coatings for GTE components» took part in the round table "National Research Universities (NRU): Taking the road of technological breakthrough", which was held in frame of the International Forum "Technoprom-2015."
