On May 14, 2018, a cooperation agreement was signed between the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) and the metropolitan school No 1234.

Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM and Irina G. Voloshko, Director of educational institution affixed their signatures to the document.

The agreement is focused on forming professional orientation of students, which consists of obtaining qualitative knowledge, abilities and skills that in future can be implemented by young specialists at VIAM.

The agreement implies realization of the set of activities as follows: organization and carrying out advertising and carrier guidance work among students directed at attracting the most gifted youth to participation in the contest “Materials scientist in the future”, organization of specialized classes with enhanced education in mathematics, physics and chemistry.  Besides, VIAM ensures that students will undertake introduction practical training in accordance with the approved plan.

It should be noted, that an effective system of continuous training of highly qualified personnel, namely, “school – university – magistracy – postgraduate – defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations” has been built. The initial stage of the system is the annual contest “Materials scientist in the future” among students from 11^th grades, the winners of which pass education in leading universities of Moscow. After successful graduation of university the young specialists continue their study at the magistracy of VIAM. Theoretical knowledge, practical experience of work and participation in scientific, research and design works are further strengthened and developed in postgraduate program of VIAM.
