On January, 26, 2016 the first organizational meeting of the Technical committee №182 “Additive technologies” was held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).
As stated by Alexander V. Zazhigalkin, deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart),that “additive technology is the most promising direction of modern technological thought. Establishment of the Technical committee is the most important stage for development of these technologies in our country”.
Addressing the representatives of TC, he pointed out, that “you have a very important activity, which has a real perspective. I would like to say, that not only Rosstandart, but also Minpromtorg and all our departments will help the Committee.
It should be added, that in the course of the meeting, the structure of the committee was presented, representatives of subcommittees were appointed, and also an issue to admit authorized representatives of new organizations to TC was considered. Besides, a project of national standard titled “Additive technological processes. Basic principles – part 1. Terms and definitions” was presented to the participants of the meeting.

The Technical committee №182 “Additive technologies” was established by an order of Rosstandart № 1013 of 1 September, 2015. A secretariat of TC was formed at the basis of VIAM. Cand. of Sc.(Tech.) Olga G. Ospennikova, Head of scientific-research bureau of VIAM «Heat-resistant cast and wrought alloys and steels, protective coatings for GTE components» and Aleksey V. Dub, the first deputy Director General of JSC “Science and innovations” are co-chairmen of the Technical committee.
