The development of VIAM has been included into the best hundred inventions of Russia.

On June 29, 2017, employees of VIAM were awarded with gold medals “85 years of VIAM” at a solemn award ceremony, which took place in VIAM.

On June 28, 2017, a solemn meeting, devoted to the 85th anniversary from the day of VIAM, took place in the concert hall “Cosmos”.

In the letter of congratulation the Head of the Government of RF noted the contribution of VIAM`s employees to tasks resolving and strengthening of defense capacity of our country.

On June 22, 2017, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM participated in the meeting of Vladimir V. Putin, the President of RF with the Academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On June 13, 2017, representatives of VIAM and ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH discussed the issues of cooperation.

On June 1, 2017, Mikhail V. Bulanov, deputy leader of Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) visited VIAM.

On May 30, 2017, a meeting of the Technical committee №182 “Additive technologies” was held at VIAM.

On May 24, 2017 Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM took part in a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of AI “Technopark-Mordovia” in Saransk.

On May 22, 2017, representatives of VIAM and China Iron ? Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI) held a meeting, at which they discussed prospects for cooperation.

On May 9, 2017, the employees of VIAM participated in the Immortal Regiment march in Moscow.

Rosstandard has approved the first two national standards in the field of additive technologies. The standards have been developed within the Technical Committee No 182 “Additive technologies”, established on the basis of VIAM.

On April 25, 2017, the President of ASRC “NAUKA”, Evgeny Kablov, Director General of VIAM held a meeting with the representatives of the German House of science and innovations.

On April 14, 2017, VIAM sent a collection of books to comprehensive secondary schools, located in the various regions of Russia.

On April 12, 2017, on Cosmonautics day, VIAM laid flowers to the bust of Yuri Gagarin on the Cosmonauts Alley.
