On June 28, 2017, a solemn meeting, devoted to the 85^th anniversary from the day of foundation of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials, took place in the concert hall “Cosmos”. The huge hall was filled with the employees of VIAM and numerous guests – business partners and colleagues from regions, representatives of scientific world, universities and state corporations. 

Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM opened the event. “Today we are celebrating the 85^th anniversary from the day of foundation of our institute. We are proud of our history. The institute has made a significant contribution to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, creation of nuclear industry. Materials were developed at VIAM for a large-scale project – spacecraft “Buran”, in the production of which more than 1200 organizations took part”, - Director General of VIAM said.

According to his words, today the employees of the institute carry on traditions of their predecessors. We are able to solve tasks, set by the leadership of the country thanks to support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia and the Ministry of education and science of Russia. In 2002, Vladimir V. Putin, the President of RF supported the idea to create low-tonnage manufactures, and now VIAM offers materials, which are in demand in many branches of industry”, - Evgeny Kablov declared.

 “The participation of VIAM in producing PD-14 is the infallible success. The engine became a breakthrough in aviation industry, and now we are proud that scientists took actively part in producing materials for this engine”, - Leader of VIAM added.

“There are a lot of tasks to be solved. We must focus on effective work and provide successful implementation of The Strategic of scientific and technological development of our State”, - Evgeny Kablov concluded.

Then the floor was given to Inna P. Bilenkina, Head of the Presidential Department for science and education policy: “VIAM is the great institute; you are always at the forefront of our science. At the same time, I want to note that there is very young collective and this is the great merit of Evgeny N. Kablov”.

Inna Bilenkina read out the order of the Russian President V. V. Putin on the announcement of gratitude to VIAM`s team and presented the high award to the Director General of the Institute.

Mikhail I. Kashtan, the member of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation noted in his congratulation, that the institute made a huge contribution to Russian security protection in military, economic and other fields.

“We are very proud that there is such advanced institute in Russia. There is fruit of your labour in each aircraft, which ensures security of our country”, - he pointed out.

Oleg E. Bocharov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation congratulated VIAM on the occasion of the anniversary. He wished the employees of the institute to carry on the traditions, set up by their predecessors. “I wish you health, happiness, prosperity and great achievements in your labor”, - Oleg Bocharov said.

The deputy minister presented diplomas and commendations of the Minpromtorg of Russia to the employees of VIAM as follows: M.M. Bakradze, P.A. Lunin, N.A. Kurpyakova, K.I. Svetogorov.

Nikolai N. Gonchar, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation noted in his congratulation that “team of like-minded colleagues under the leadership of Evgeny N. Kablov managed to keep its honest name and led VIAM to new horizon of development. I am very proud that I was lucky enough to benefit your institute”.

The employees of VIAM were presented diplomas from the Ministry of Education and Science. T.A. Drobysheva, L.N. Tupitsyna, M.L. Vaganova, Yu.E. Lebedeva and M.A. Gorbovets were honored with the highest award.

Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Aleksey V. Shaposhnikov, on behalf of deputies from the Moscow City Duma, congratulated VIAM on the outstanding event and presented Evgeny Kablov a Badge of honor “For unstinting Service to the City of Moscow” and conveyed thanks from the Mayor of Moscow to the employees of VIAM. 

Albert A. Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade of TR, on behalf of the Leadership of the Republic, congratulated VIAM on the 85^th anniversary of foundation and noted the contribution of the institute to production and development of aviation industry. “I want to express my gratitude to VIAM for constructive cooperation with enterprises of Tatarstan, which promotes the development of our region”, - Alibert Karimov said.

He presented Gratitude from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan to D.E. Kablov, S.V. Putyrskiy, A.L. Yakovlev, A.V. Sviridov, and A.V. Lavrov. 

Then Chairman of the State Assembly of Mordovia, Vladimir V. Chibirkin was invited to the stage.

“At the outset allow me, on behalf of the Leadership of the Republic and on behalf of my colleagues, to congratulate the employees of the institute on the jubilee and to wish you health and happiness.  Your achievements are the merits of generation of scientists, which worked and go on working at the institute. The enterprises of our Republic closely cooperate with VIAM. Thanks to you, the contribution to social and economic development of the Republic is multiplying, science is developing and personnel are training”, - he said.

Vladimir Chibirkin presented diplomas from the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, the State Assembly of the Republic of Mordovia, the Government of the Republic of Mordovia to the employees of VIAM as follows: D.V. Grashchenkov, E.V. Granina, D.Yu. Bukolov, K.A. Pavlovskiy, A.N. Nyafkin, N.V. Sevostyanov.

Artur A. Shaynurov, plenipotentiary Chairman of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation – deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan congratulated the employees on the significant anniversary and presented gratitude to VIAM`s team from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Igor V. Eremin, Vice-president of the Samara region – authorized representative of the Governor of the Samara region under the President of RF and the Government of RF and Academician of RAS, Fedor V. Grechnikov, Advisor to Governor of the Samara region wished team of VIAM new achievements, implementation of well-designed plans, success in all matters.

Besides, Certificates of honor from the Governor of the Samara region were presented to M.S. Oglodkov, O.V. Pokrass, V.V. Antipov, E.V. Kuznetsova.

The first deputy chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk region, Andrey S. Tyurin noted that VAIM and the Ulyanovsk region had longstanding partnership relations. “I would like to see our cooperation led to the highest achievements”, - he pointed out.

Andrey Tyurin presented the letters of gratitude from the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region to the employees of VAIM as follows: A.E. Raskutin, N.V. Shulga, A.A. Evdokimov, A.A. Barannikov, R.S. Savitskiy, and Yu. N. Shevchenko.  

Vadim V. Gontar, representative of the State Corporation “Rosatom” congratulated the attendees on the anniversary and presented the badge “For contribution to the development of nuclear industry” of the second degree and gratitude from SC “Rosatom” to the following specialists of VIAM: N.E. Blinova, T.I. Yanson, I. Yu. Efimochkin.

Yury N. Koptev, Chairman of the Scientific and technical council of the State Corporation “Roscosmos” noted the contribution of VIAM to development of materials for space. He also presented gratitude to the employees of the institute as follows: M.A. Ilyukhina, M.G. Min, E.A. Tkachenko.

After the solemn part of the event, a concert was held with the participation of the Russian pop stars.

Alexander Marshal, the band “Zemlyane”, Denis Maidanov, Renat Ibragimov, Varvara, Olga Kormukhina and many others performed their best songs.
