The All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) ran a charity action on the eve of the great holiday – Victory Day.

VIAM has sent to 63 comprehensive secondary schools, located in the Republic of Mordovia, Ryazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Smolensk Regions a collection of military-patriotic books of the Soviet authors as well as books of the modern Russian authors, writing about the heroic Russian character. All publications were purchased through the voluntary donation of VIAM`s employees.

As Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM pointed out, “Victory Day is the special day for our people. It is the day of memory and pride, when each Russian feels part of the great nation, defeated fascism. Only based on our cultural and intellectual values we will be able to preserve mentality of the victorious nation”.

It should be noted that it hasn`t been the first such action, organized by the institute. In December, 2015, VIAM sent a collection of books to orphanages.
