On December, 29, 2015 a New Year festival concert was traditionally held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials.

In accordance with an Order of the Government of the Russian Federation, VIAM entered to the list of scientific organizations, which had maintained the status of State Research Center of RF.

On December, 23, 2015 a General Meeting of VIAM was held, at which the work of the institute and its branches was summed up for the current year and also perspectives and tasks for 2016 were considered.

On December, 17, 2015 Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) participated in presentation of database of Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).

On December, 15, 2015 Sergey M. Mironov, Chairman of the political Party “A Just Russia”, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of RF visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).
