On December, 8, 2015 Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) participated in the General meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The meeting was devoted to scientific foundations of efficiency and safety of medicines.

In the course of the meeting, President of RAS Vladimir E. Fortov, Minister of Health of RF Veronika I. Skvortsova and also leading scientists, engaged in this theme, made reports.

Earlier, Chief Scientific Secretary of Presidium of RAS Michael A. Paltsev emphasized the importance of the meeting of scientific session and informed that RAS had raised the issue for the first time. “Medicines should be effective and safe.  It is cheaper, more effective and profitable to be engaged in production of medicines, than to buy them abroad”, - Academician pointed out.
