On November 12, 2013 the press conference of academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM, on the subject «Significance of new materials for transition of the Russian economics to the new technological mode» took place at the All-Russian institute of aviation materials (VIAM).

On November 11, 2013 academician of RAS prof. Evgeny N.Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM), spoke on the air of «Radio of Russia».

Moscow Center of Climatic Tests of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (MCCT of VIAM) has been included into the European network of Climatic Test Stations managed by Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC.

On November 19, 2013 the deputy head of VIAM Gelenjik Akimov Climatic Testing Center (GCTC) Mr. Oleg Startsev, Doctor of Engineering Science, took part in the Third scientific and technical conference devoted to the post-sale servicing of aircraft engines, which was held in the United Arab Emirates at the University of Sharjah emirate.

On November 7, 2013 the delegation of the Beijing institute of aviation materials (BIAM) visited the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM).

Andrey Shavnev represented the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) at a specialized seminar on metallography and sample preparation held on November 4-6, 2013 at the site of ATM GmbH in Germany. The seminar is carried out annually for customers from Russia and CIS countries.

On November 5, 2013 the project «Creation and commercialization of innovative resource-saving technology of special metallurgy for production of direct steam pipelines and turbogenerator rotors for nuclear and thermal power engineering, high resistant mill rolls» nominated by JSC Heavy Engineering ORMETO-YUMZ to compete for RF Government award in the field of science and engineering for 2013 was subjected to public discussions at the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials.

On November 5, 2013 Sergey V. Salikhov, director of the department of science and technologies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and academician of RAS Doctor of Engineering Science professor Nikolay P. Alyoshin, head of  department of Bauman Moscow State Technical University visited the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM).

On October 31, 2013 the ceremony of awarding of winners and laureates of the contest «Aircraft Builder of the Year-2013» took place at the World Trade Center. Following the results of the contest, the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials had won first place in the nomination «Best innovative project» and became the laureate in the nominations «For creation of new technology» and «For contribution to the development of  regulatory documentation base in aviation and aircraft building».

On the  31-st of October 2013 the leader of the Service of production certification, repairement and accreditation of Aviation Register IAC Sergey P. Instrumentov presented the Accreditation Certificate to a chief of the Testing Center of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (TC VIAM),  Candidate of Engineering Sciences Alexey N. Lutsenko.

October 30, 2013 at the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) the  conference  «Adhesive materials for aviation purposes», timed to 110-anniversary from a birthday of the prominent scientist in the field of creation of polymeric adhesives and gluing technologies , Doctor if the Technical Sciences David Alexeevich Kardashov took place.

A branch of VIAM – Gelendjik center of climatic tests after the name of G.V.Akimov was inserted into the net of climatic tests stations Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC (ATLAS).

October 29, 2013 specialists of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took part in 17-th international exhibition «Chemistry -2013» and 14-th international specialized exhibition « Industry of plastics-2013», which are taking place in CEC «Expocenter» in October 28-31, 2013.

In October 29, 2013 the deputy General director of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) on scientific work, Candidate of Engineering Sciences Iosif Markovich Demonis took part in the «round table», that was held in the Council of Federation.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation  №803 dtd 25 of October  2013  the General director of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM), academician of RAS Evgeny Nikolaevich Kablov was included into the science & education Council under the President of the Russian Federation

October 24, 2013 a delegation of Dubnensk machine building plant after  N.P.Fyodorov headed by the General director Sergey Alexandrovich  Datsko visited the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM).
