On November 5, 2013 Sergey V. Salikhov, director of the department of science and technologies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and academician of RAS Doctor of Engineering Science professor Nikolay P. Alyoshin, head of  department of Bauman Moscow State Technical University visited the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM). 

During the visit, the guests examined the exhibition of VIAM devoted to the main research-and-production achievements of the institute. 

Academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, director general of VIAM, told about the latest developments of the institute, prospective and strategic direction lines of material developments for the sake of strengthening of defense capability of Russia and innovative development of aerospace branch of the domestic economics.
