On August 29, 2013 at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2013 the management of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) had a meeting with representatives of French company Porcher Industries as well as its Moscow representative office Porcher Modern Materials LLC. During the meeting between VIAM and Porcher Modern Materials LLC an Agreement on cooperation and joint activities was signed.

The document was signed by RAS member Evgeny Kablov, Director General of VIAM and Victor Burkov, Director General of Porcher Modern Materials LLC.

In accordance with the Agreement, the parties agreed to carry out joint scientific-technical policy in the field of development of polymer composites based on carbon and glass fibers for benefit of OJSC United Aircraft Corporation, OJSC Managing Company Aviation Engine-Building Union and OJSC Russian Helicopters.

The meeting was also attended by Regis Lede, President of Porcher Industries and Henry Bross, CEO of Porcher Industries, Denis Grashchenkov, Deputy Director General of VIAM and Vladislav Zyryanov, head of International cooperation department of VIAM.

Guests from France also got acquainted with the exposition of VIAM at MAKS-2013 and gave a high appraisal to the presented information materials and samples.
