At the end of 2021, the revenue of the All-Russian Research Institute of Aviation Materials (NRC Kurchatov Institute - VIAM) amounted to 7.2 billion rubles, and the net profit was 478 million rubles.

Such significant figures became possible due to the increase in the volume of research and development work carried out by the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" - VIAM, as well as the volume of products manufactured by high-tech small-tonnage production. As a result, tax payments and insurance premiums transferred by the institute to state off-budget funds over the past year are equal to 1.4 billion rubles.

The resulting profit will be used by the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" - VIAM for the modernization of the production and research base. This will allow the institute to solve a number of important tasks, including providing the domestic industry with the necessary materials, import substitution of foreign components and semi-finished products, and development of perspective scientific and technical areas.
