A delegation of AVIC TECH (China) headed by Liu Lin, president of the company, visited VIAM on August 28, 2013.

Within the business meeting, the representatives of AVIC TECH examined the scientific and manufacturing capabilities of VIAM. They visited the laboratory of chemical express analysis of heat-resistant alloys; a complex for molding of single-crystal blades of GTE and GTU; heat treatment complex; complex for high-temperature and fatigue tests; S.T. Kishkin research center for high-gradient casting technology of single-crystal blades; a bay of abrasive polishing of cast bar stocks; newly created complex for polymer composite materials; a bay of isothermal forging of heat-resistant alloys and a bay of ion-plasma coatings.

Employees of VIAM demonstrated to the representatives of AVIC TECH how the unique equipment operates and told about the newest developments of the Institute, prospective and strategic trends in the development of materials and technologies for their processing.

In addition, the guests examined the VIAM exhibition where the actual and prospective activities of the Institute are presented, also they visited the center of metal physics researches.

The meeting, where the visit was resumed and prospects of cooperation were considered, took place upon the examination. The Parties noted the high level of partnership and confirmed their mutual interest in its strengthening and development.

Let's remind that the day before, on August 27, 2013, the 2nd Russian-Chinese joint scientific and technical symposium «Advanced materials for modern civil aeronautical engineering of the XXI century» took place at VIAM. Scientists and experts of VIAM and AVIC TEC participated in this symposium.
