The Federal Accreditation Service accredited the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (NRC “Kurchatov Institute” – VIAM) in the national accreditation system. The information about it is registered in the accredited parties’ list under unique number RA.RU.21ОМ41.

In December 2021 the Commission of the Federal Accreditation Service checked the compliance of the Testing center with the requirements of the state standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019. During the audit the experts estimated the availability of the measuring equipment and test facilities in the Testing Center, checked the metrological support, organizational, regulatory and technical documents, testing and research procedures as well as staffing level and qualification of the laboratories’ specialists of the Center. Base on the results of the audit RusAccreditation’s commission gave high rates to the level of material and technical facilities and competence of the Testing Center’s specialists.  

Testing Center includes various laboratories performing analytical, physical and mechanical, thermophysical, metal physical, lab-scale and field climatic testing, as well as metallic, non-metallic and composite materials’ researches, including qualification and reference tests.

Testing Center has more than 1100 units of unique equipment, which allows performing a wide range of research and tests of the materials. The Center is certified by the Federal Air Transport Agency, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Snecma company (Safran group) and the “46^th Central Research Institute” branch of the FSBI of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
