The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in due stage of the “Otkroy#Mosprom” project organized by the Department of the Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow.
The “Otkroy#Mosprom” project started in March, 2019. The events are held offline and online: lectures, master classes and mind games. More than 17 thousand people took part in the offline events, and the online audience of the project exceeded 10 million viewers. During the course of the “Otkroy#Mosprom” project there were organized more than 500 excursions to 58 industrial facilities and their museums.
It is the third time VIAM takes part in the project.
Guests visited the VIAM’s museum to learn more about the stages of origination and development of the aviation materials science, about the unique inventions of the institute’s scientists, which were used in the aerospace engineering, nuclear industry and infrastructure projects of the capital.
During the excursion the guests learned a lot of interesting facts about the VIAM’s history, main areas of its activities and the Institute’s achievements in development of new generation materials and technologies.
Moreover, the visitors had a look at the exhibition display of components of aerospace engineering produced from the VIAM’s materials.
