On April 9^th, 2021 in the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology the exhibition of the publications of the state scientific centers of the Russian Federation (RF SSC) was opened. The event was held in the framework of the Year of Science and Technology.   

The Event was attended by Evgeny N. Kablov, the Director General of VIAM, Academician of RAS and President of the SSC “Science” Association, Vadim V. Medvedev, the Director of the Department of innovation and advanced research of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation and Vladimir V. Ivanov, the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Science, as well as directors of federal and central regional libraries of Russia. 

“Through this exhibition we want to tell people about the activity of state scientific centers, our unique inventions and contribution of the SSC to the industry and science of the country,” - Evgeny Kablov emphasized. - “I am sure that today’s event is extremely important for promotion of engineering and scientific work among the youth”. 

AT the exhibition there are presented more than 300 exclusive books, brochures and magazines published by the state scientific centers of the Russian Federation for the period from 2000 to 2020 in the critical aspects of sci-tech sphere – aviation, medicine, robotics technology, nuclear physics, instrumentation, etc. Mostly these books were published in small circulations and were not available to the reading public.

VIAM presented training aids and monographs drawn up on the basis of the recent scientific achievements of the Russian materials science specialists; VIAM also presented semidocumentary biographic books about the outstanding materials scientists. Dmitry S. Lavrischev, the VIAM employee, within the official opening of the exhibition presented the book dedicated to the genius soviet aircraft designer Robert Bartini.

It is necessary to mention that the event organizers are the Association of the State Scientific Centers “Nauka”, Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology and Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
