The Russian Academy of Science (RAS) rated the scientific periodicals that are in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
The “Aviation Materials and Technologies” journal published by the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) is among the periodicals on the top of the rating. One of the main criteria for evaluation was the impact factor – the numerical indicator of the citation rate of the magazine’s articles. According to Alexey Khokhlov, the vice president of RAS about 200-300 magazines will get state aid (in total there are 792 periodicals in the RSCI).
Peer-reviewed journal “Aviation Materials and Technologies” (has been published since 2000) is a periodical where articles on the results of fundamental and applied researches in the field of development of new materials and technologies of their processing for the production of items used in aviation, space and other industries.
Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) is an abstract database of articles from Russian scientific periodicals which are selected by the leading Russian scientists basing on journals’ bibliometrical rates in Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) and public expertise.
