In November of 2020 the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology ROSSTANDART approved a number of new national standards in additive technologies including the following:
GOST R 59184–2020 “Additive technologies. Equipment for selective laser melting. General requirements”;
GOST R 59037–2020 “Additive technologies. Design engineering of metal products. Guidelines”;
GOST R 59038–2020 “Additive technologies. Confirmation of quality and properties of metal products”;
GOST R 59036–2020 “Additive technologies. Production on the basis of selective laser melting of metal powders. General principles”.
So far, 28 national standards (GOST R) in additive technologies have been approved in Russia. The Program of national standardization plans to formulate 11 more standards in 2021 for the development of additive technologies.
New standards have been formulated in the course of the relevant technical standardization committee No. 182 “Additive technologies”. More than 60 institutions including the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) are the members of this committee. Olga G. Ospennikova, the Deputy Director General of VIAM is the co-chairperson of the committee and its secretariat is organized on the basis of VIAM. Cooperation of the companies in the course of the committee strengthens the relations between research, development, design and engineering and production companies in this field.
