Igor Sokolov and Pavel Timoshkov, representatives of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took part in the First Russian-Chinese Scientific and Technical Forum «Blue Silicon Valley» held in Qingdao on June 24-27, 2013 within the framework of the Summit of the Association of Sino- Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU).

Employees of VIAM presented results of scientific and technical projects for construction industry, power and the mechanical engineering executed in cooperation with Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

"Representatives of leading universities of Russia and China took part in the Forum: Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University, Harbin Polytechnical University (HPU), Beijing Institute of Technology and others", - reported Pavel Timoshkov.

During the visit, the employees of VIAM also examined infrastructure and achievements of Tsingtao Scientific-Technical Park of Harbin Polytechnical University. The park has been developing to become a base of scientific and technical cooperation and personnel exchange between Russia and China and to strength relations between 29 Chinese and Russian higher educational institutions, large enterprises, concerns and leading research institutes.

They also took part in the ceremony of laying of the ASRTU headquarter foundation on the territory of the HPU Scientific-Technical Park in «Blue Silicon Valley».
