On April 4, 2013 representatives of VIAM Alexander Evgenov and Svyatoslav Nerush took part in the seminar which was devoted to experiments of foreign enterprises of aerospace industry on implementation of additive technologies of laser fusion of metal powder materials for production of parts.
Alexander Evgenov made the report «Production of fine-dispersed metal powders for additive technologies» representing available experience on production of powder materials and development of HERMIGA10/100VI atomizer as applied to production of spherical fine-dispersed Ni- and Fe based powders. He emphasized the need of «creation of a coordination center which would possess the comprehensive information on units operating in the country, necessary powders and their possible producers».
Following the results of the event Alexander Evgenov noted that «the additive technologies, which can be also called as “technologies of the layer-by-layer synthesis” are today one of the most dynamically developing trends of digital production as they allow to accelerate R&D works and solution of many production tasks by ten times». «Building up of a model occurs by addition of material unlike conventional technologies implemented by removal of superfluous material», – concluded Svyatoslav Nerush.
Representatives of German company EOS GmbH took part in the seminar which was held at the Engineering center of JSC "United Engine Corporation".
