The FSUE “VIAM” Director General, the Academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov and the Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexey E. Likhachev concluded an agreement on cooperation in framework of implementation of the road map for the development of the Russian Federation high-tech sphere “Technologies of new materials and substances”.
The Parties agreed upon reinforcement of the mutually advantageous cooperation in the development of additive technologies, polymer composite materials and products on their basis.
The agreement provides for the development of the basic advanced technologies and forming of the research and technological groundwork for assuring the technological leadership of the Russian Federation on global markets using the scientific and technological and productive potentials of both FSUE “VIAM” and the “Rosatom” State Corporation.
“We have determined the main directions of cooperation and will work hard on them. First of all, it is additive technologies, as “Rosatom” is highly interested in VIAM high quality powder compositions. The management of the state corporation is well aware, that it is difficult to talk about competitiveness without introduction of new generation materials. Moreover, due to the signed agreement our cooperation will move to a new level in framework of road map on technologies of new materials and substances, which was signed by “Rosatom” and the Government of the Russian federation in the end of 2019.” - Evgeny N. Kablov, the FSUE “VIAM” Director general and the Academician of RAS said.
Further, Alexey E. Likhachev the Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom noted that “the direction of development and production of the innovative materials both for its own use and for international market is a strategic one for the “Rosatom: State Corporation. I am sure that cooperation with VIAM, one of the best centers for materials science in our country will allow us to increase the efficiency of projects execution for introduction of advanced materials and technologies both into the nuclear industry in particular and in the Russian Federation in general.”
State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom was founded on December 18th, 2007. “Rosatom” is the largest energy manufacturer in Russia covering more than 18% of the energy demands of the country. The corporation also includes manufacturing of equipment and isotopic products for nuclear medicine demands, conduction of scientific researches, materials science, supercomputers and software and manufacturing of various nuclear and non-nuclear innovative products into its scope of activity.
The state corporation unites around 400 enterprises and organizations including the only nuclear icebreaking fleet with around 250 thousand people working there.
