Today we commemorate the victims of the tragedy that happened in the Odessan Trade Union House. Six years ago dozens of people – pro-federalism activists who openly expressed their civic position were killed there.

It is reminding that on May 2^nd, 2014 on the Kulikov Field the “Right Sector” radicals (organization prohibited in the Russian Federation), football fans arrived in Odessa and the representatives of the so-called “maidan” self-defense attacked the activists who were gathering signatures for conducting the referendum on federalization of Ukraine and making the Russian language the state language. Odessian “anti-maidan” activists had to seek shelter in the Trade Union House but the criminals surrounded it and set on fire.  People blocked in the building jumped out of the windows in attempts to escape but the radicals went on slaughtering them, throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at them. 48 people died and more than 200 were injured as a result of this tragedy. 

The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) employees remember and revere the memory of the victims of those dreadful events which took place in Odessa on May 2^nd, 2014.
