On December 10th, 2019 the Moscow Government Presidium adopted a resolution on assigning the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) a status of an industrial complex.
According to the new status the Institute will get significant support from the city authorities, including profit tax relief, land tax and property tax deductions as well as land rent rates reduction. These benefits will allow the Institute to reduce the tax load significantly and to allocate the savings to the development of the assets, upgrading of the manufacturing complex, engineering infrastructure, and social expenses, work safety, training of the employees and etc.
It is necessary to add that at present there are 51 industrial complexes and 36 technological parks with more than 100,000 employees working there in Moscow.
