Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has composed the catalogue of the national products for additive manufacturing in 2019. The list of the modern high-technology products will be updated regularly.

The catalogue already contains about 70 items and shows the actual state of the 3D-printers and metallic and non-metallic products manufactured by the Russian companies. Each item has the full description of technical characteristics, production capacities and unique special features of the manufactured products.

The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (“VIAM”) is presented in the section “Raw material for 3D Printers”. The Institute manufactures alloys compositions on the basis of nickel (EP648, VZh159, VIN5, VZh171), cobalt (VLK1), aluminium (AK9ch), titanium (VT6) and steel (VNL14). In total, 190 tons of metal powder compositions per year.

It is necessary to mention, that the first Russian additive end-to-end cycle production facility appeared in VIAM. It includes production of expendable charge blanks, finely dispersed metal powder compositions of home-produced alloys, development of electronic models including the usage of topological optimization and technologies of synthesis of parts from metal powder compositions as well as properties, structure and quality monitoring by means of X-Ray computed tomography.
