The All-Russian Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the International Industrial Fair “INNOPROM-2019” from 8 to 11 of July.
The VIAM exposition was focused on additive technologies – one of the main world’s trends of the new industrial revolution. The exhibitors and the guests of the exhibition were able to find out more about the VIAM cutting-edge developments in this field. Among other things there were presented the samples of engines parts manufactured using the technology of selective laser melting: swirl nozzle of PD-14 engine combustion chamber, fuel injector nozzle and nozzle rings of gas turbine plant, heat exchanger unit of liquid-propellant engine. The small-scale gas turbine engine (MGTD-10) manufactured by means of additive technologies was presented to the public, as well as metal-powder alloy compositions on the basis of nickel, iron, cobalt, aluminium and titan.
It should be noted that the VIAM specialists have gained vast experience in the field of additive technologies. So, for example one of the most significant achievements of the Institute is the development of the first Russian end-to-end additive manufacturing. The existing baseline allows establishing in VIAM the low-tonnage batch production of metal-powder compositions with further certification for the leading engine-building facilities.
The International Industrial Fair “Innoprom” has been taking place in Ekaterinburg since 2010. In 2012 the “Innoprom” fair was assigned the status of a federal event by the Government of the Russian Federation.
Russian and foreign companies take part in the fair demonstrating their innovative solutions and projects. The forum is held in the form of plenary meetings, roundtable conferences, business engagements and negotiations, discussions, presentations, workshop sessions with businessmen, experts, scientists and politicians not only from Russia but from around the world taking part. ”Innoprom” is the main Russian event dedicated to the latest technologies and solutions in industry as well as the main export place for Russian industrial companies.
