The grand ceremony of awarding with the Moscow City Duma Certificates of Appreciation took place in the historical hall of the Moscow Parliament Center on June 26^th, 2019. The awards were given to the citizens and entities which had approved themselves in different spheres of city life and contributed much to the development and success of the capital. The Certificates of Appreciation were awarded by Aleksei Shaposhnikov, the chairman of the Moscow City Duma. The deputies of the city parliament were also present at the ceremony.   

Evgeny N. Kablov, the Academician of RAS and the Director General of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) was awarded with the Moscow City Duma Certificate of Appreciation for his merits to the city community.  

The tradition of awarding the notable citizens with the Moscow City Duma Certificates of Appreciation in the historical hall of the Moscow Parliament Center appeared in 2017. In the beginning of the 19^th century the notable citizens gathered there at the meetings of the English club; in March 1806 the hero of the Battle of Schöngrabern knyaz PyotrBagration was honored.
