Ilya Kozlov as a representative of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (“VIAM”) took part in the International scientific and technical conference “Modern Electrochemical Technologies and Equipment – 2019” that took place in Minsk (the Republic of Belarus) from 13 to 17 of May, 2019.

The aim of the Conference is to stimulate the contacts and exchange of the scientific and technical solutions between the specialists in the field of electrochemical technologies, corrosion resistance as well as development and research of the nanomaterials.

At sub-forum “Electroplating and Surface Treatment” Ilya Kozlov presented his report “Technology of plasma electrolytic oxidation of parts made of magnesium alloys”. The report shows the results of the study of the influence of surface preparation, mode and form of the polarizing signal as well as electrolyte composition on the structure and protective properties of plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings for magnesium alloys.    

The International Conference “METE-2019” is annual and one of the most significant events in the field of electrochemistry, technology and equipment of the electrochemical facilities as well as development, investigation of properties and application of nanomaterials in the former Soviet Union. The Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) is the host of the Conference.
