On February 6-8, 2013 Pavel Timoshkov, a representative of All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the 5th International Exhibition COMPOTEC held in Italy (Carrara).

The Exhibition is dedicated to polymer composite materials and technologies.

Thereupon Pavel Timoshkov notes that the exhibition is very interesting since it aims to represent and summarize information about news at raw and technological material market, new reinforcement, technologies and semiproducts for manufacture of polymer composite materials. He emphasizes that it is possible here to study proposals of suppliers of modern equipment for manufacture and processing of prepregs, auxiliary equipment and inform about VIAM activity as well.

COMPOTEC-2013 is the first exhibition in Italy entirely dedicated to composites; it has registered the presence of producers of composite materials, equipment and technologies, representatives of industries, universities and research institutes.

It is remarkable that Italy is the second producer of composite materials in Europe and they are used more and more in aerospace and automotive industry, shipbuilding, construction, power engineering, medicine, sports industry and other fields.
