February 8th, 2019 the high-profile ceremony of awarding the young scientists with the Moscow Government Prize took place in the State Kremlin Palace.
In nomination of “Aerospace Technology” the following All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials employees have been awarded – Pavel Mazalov, Svyatoslav Nerush and Dmitriy Sukhov. The VIAM writing team was awarded for the development, manufacturing on the basis of additive production and test performance of the small-sized gas turbine engine with 12 kgf linkage for unpiloted aircrafts.
The practical value of the work is as follows: reduction of the prototype engine production time (from 3 months to 10 days), reduction of engine weight for 15%, reduction of manufacturing costs for small-sized gas turbine prototype engine by means of newly-developed additive technology by 2.5-3 times.
As a result of practical approval of production of the range of small-sized gas turbine engines on the VIAM base there will be developed the high-tech energy-saving production of the assembly units and components small-sized gas turbine engines in 10-300 kgf force class by means of additive technologies. This will allow meeting the demand of the Russian Federation for the small-sized gas turbine engines of that class.
It is necessary to mention that the Moscow Government Prize is awarded since 2013. To take part in the contest is allowed to the postgraduate students, Candidates of Sciences, research scientists – specialists up to 35 years old inclusive and Doctors of Sciences up to 40 years old.
