On January 23, 2013 at Skolkovo institute of science and technologies academician of RAS, professor Eugeny N. Kablov, General Director of VIAM, took part in the working group on a development of research, engineering activity and tests in the field of composite materials at Interdepartmental council on development, manufacture and application of composite materials in different sectors of economics, which was held in frames of the workshop «Principles and experience of organization of educational and engineering service in the interest of composite branch ».

He made a report, in which he gave an account of VIAM experience in engineering and educational spheres under development and investigation of polymer composite materials (PCM) of the new generation.

In particular, Eugeny Kablov reported about Strategic directions of material development and technologies of their recycling for the period up to 2030, which were approved by Military-industrial commission at the Russian Federation Government. He elucidated general principles of creation of up-to-date materials and complex technical systems. Eugeny Kablov informed the participants about the activity of VIAM Centers of competence on development, qualification and manufacture of PCM, institute Centers of collective use, specific projects using PCM of new generation. In the report of the General Director of the institute a special attention was paid to a realization of the programs on development of territorial innovation clusters in frames of VIAM cooperation with regions, national research and federal universities, but also to the system of continuous training of VIAM personnel.

 The Ministry of trade and industry of the Russian Federation and Skolkovo institute of science and technologies were initiators of the event.
