January 23^rd, 2019 the delegation from JSC “EUC-Perm Engines” headed by Managing Director Sergey Vladimirovich Popov visited the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (“VIAM”).

During the visit the VIAM capabilities for development and batch production of the new generation materials have been demonstrated to the guests. They had a look at the research-and-production complexes for batch production of cast bar stocks of heat-resistant alloys, heat treatment, ion-plasma coatings, isothermal forging of heat-resistant alloys, casting of single crystal blades for gas turbine engines and units. 

VIAM and EUC-Perm Engines representatives discussed the cooperation perspectives in the field of technology development for blades casting, updating of coating equipment; they also considered the questions of development of the modern technologies for electron beam welding and supply of polymer composite materials. Besides, the parties discussed the issue of import substitution for casting processes.

JSC “EUC-Perm Engines” is the Russian manufacturer of the aircraft engines for civil aviation, as well as industrial-scale gas turbine plants for power plants and gas transportation. The main production unit is situated in Perm. Since 2008 JSC “EUC-Perm Engines” is a member of United Engine Corporation.
