The All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) became the winner of competition on priority direction of activity of the Russian Scientific Fund (RSF).
On 14-th of August, 2014 the head of Springer`s representative office in Russia Matthias Aicher and director of marketing Kristina Deminskaya visited All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM).
On August 13, 2014 candidate of engineering sciences Olga G. Ospennikova, deputy director general of VIAM, has taken part in the Round Table «Scientific and technological demands of the Russian gas-turbine engine building» which was held in framework of the 3rd International Forum «Technologies in Mechanical Engineering-2014» (TVM-2014).
On August 7, 2014, the conference «Modern methods and technologies of wrought steels and alloys processing» took place at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM). The conference was timed to the 110th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Sciences (Eng.), professor Nikolay I. Korneyev.

On August 4, 2014 Vladimir V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation had a working meeting with Denis V. Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade. At the meeting, a special attention was paid to the development of composite materials market.
On the 1-st of August the day of the century of the starting one of the most large-scaled armed conflicts in the history of mankind – World War I, representatives of Young Scientists Council and specialists of VIAM participated in the official opening of the monument to the heroes of World War I at the Poklnnaya Hill.
