On December 4-5, 2012 the All-Russian conference on investigation and testing of materials properties «TestMat-2012» took place at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM). Representatives of many domestic higher educational institutions, involving in material science arrived at the conference from various regions of Russia.

In the course of the conference the following directions were considered: spectral and chemical-analytical investigations; study of thermal-physical properties; metal physical investigations; physical-mechanical tests; non-destructive methods of control; study and testing of metallic materials for corrosion resistance; investigation of environmental , microbiological resistance and fire safety of non-metallic materials; study of acoustic , radio-engineering and electrical characteristics of materials.
