On September 20, 2018, a meeting of the Russian-Chinese working group on civil aviation and aircraft industry has taken place in Kunming of Yunnan province in southwest China.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of RF Oleg E. Bocharov, representatives of FSUE “VIAM”, PJSC “UAC”, JSC “Russian Helicopters”, JSC “United Engine Corporation”, the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”, JSC “NIIAO”, Rosaviation participated in the meeting from the Russian side.

In the course of the meeting the participants summarized the activities of subgroups of the working group on aeronautical engineering, engine manufacturing, helicopter engineering, science, technologies and materials science, subgroups on airworthiness and airborne equipment.

Deputy Director General of VIAM Vladislav V. Antipov made a report on results of work of the special working group on materials and manufacturing technologies of new generation. He informed, that VIAM and Beijing Institute of Aviation Materials had completed formation of the working group as well as they had got approval for the pilot project on development of complex protection system against corrosion, aging and bioproofness of assemblies and constructions of Russian-Chinese wide-bodied long-range aircraft.
