On September 6, 2018, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University have signed a cooperation agreement at A.G. Akimov Gelendzhik Climatic Testing Center.
Academician of RAS, Director General of VIAM, Evgeny N. Kablov and Academician of RAS, rector of SPbPU, Andrey I. Rudskoy set their signatures to the document.
The agreement provides for scientific and technical cooperation in the field of development and implementation of joint innovative projects in the field of additive technologies, promising methods for developing permanent joints of parts and structures from aluminum and aluminum-lithium alloys, as well as research of production pressure processes of high-alloyed heat-resistant alloys and steels. In addition, VIAM and SPbPU will cooperate in order to train highly qualified engineers and scientists.
It should be added, that an excursion around GCTC of VIAM was organized for Andrey Rudskoy.
Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is a multifunctional state higher educational institution. In 2010, it was granted the status of a national research university. SPbPU invariably holds leading positions in the rating of technical universities of Russia.
