On May 3, 2018, a meeting of representatives from VIAM and nonprofit partnership «Association of Railway Equipment Manufacturers» (NP «OPZHT») took place in the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials.

The negotiations were headed by Evgeny N. Kablov, Academician of RAS, Director General of VIAM and Valentin A. Gapanovich, President of NP «OPZHT».

In the course of the meeting, the parties considered the results of implementing joint project of VIAM and OJSC “Penzadieselmash” (it is a part of CJSC “Transmashholding). Besides, they discussed development of joint works in the field of aluminum alloys and polymer composite materials for interior and other elements of rolling stock.

It should be mentioned, that VIAM and NP «OPZHT» signed the agreement on cooperation and partnership in the field of scientific-research activities, additive technologies, information, scientific and personnel support.
