On March 20, 2018, Academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, President of the Association of State Research Centers of RF, General Director of VIAM took part in parliamentary hearings on the draft federal law “On scientific, technical and innovative activities of the Russian Federation”.

The main peculiarities of the document will be its systematic nature (all types of activity in the field of science and innovation will put under the regulation), flexibility (minimization of directive management of scientific and technological sphere, providing opportunities for self-regulation), maximum openness, financing distribution on a competitive basis with the focus on priorities of scientific and technological development.

The preparation of the document has begun since 2014. At the various stages of its development VIAM jointly with the Association of State research centers of RF made proposals and gave expert assessment to draft law. In his speech, Evgeny Kablov expressed a consolidation position of the Association of SRC RF.

It should be noted, that Deputy Minister of education and science of RF, Grigory V. Trubnikov, Head of the Federal Agency of scientific organizations, Mikhail M. Kotyukov, Chairman of Supreme Attestation Commission under the Ministry of education and science, Vladimir M. Filippov, representatives of scientific and social organizations participated in the discussion of the new law on science.
