The Academic Council of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University unanimously voted for conferment of honorary title of Doctor of SPbPU to Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

The honorary title “for outstanding scientific results in the field of materials science and additive technologies, for development of regional ties in areas related to constructional materials for aviation and space industry as well as for long-standing fruitful cooperation with SPbPU in the field of creation of scientific and educational programs” was awarded.

​Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is a multifunctional state higher education institution. In 2010 it was granted the status of national research university. It invariably takes the leading position in the rating of technical universities of Russia.
