On July 20, 2017, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) and the Indian company Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) have signed the memorandum of understanding.
The parties have determined several priority directions for cooperation. In particular, they have agreed to cooperate in the fields of manufacture of disks forging from heat-resistant wrought alloys, recycling of nickel base alloys to obtain yield of more than 85%, single and directional solidified crystal castings of blades, production of nickel and titanium powders, as well as protective high temperature coating for thermo-mechanical treatment.
Within the memorandum, it is planned to constitute a joint working group, which will monitor the progress of the projects and meet at regular intervals for finalization of project reports and their successful execution.
Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) is a Government of India enterprise, located in Hyderabad. It specializes in producing more than 100 grades of special metals and alloys, including titanium and titanium-magnesium alloys, special steels, nickel alloys, titanium billets and titanium rolled products, magnets, engines and rotors. The products of the enterprise are widely used in energy, aviation, space, chemical and other high-technology industries of India.
