On November 10, 2016, a delegation of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials, headed by Evgeny N. Kablov, Academician of RAS, General Director of VIAM visited Moscow helicopter plant named after ML. Mile.

In the course of the visit, the representatives of the institute got acquainted with experimental production areas and the newest products of aviation engineering. They paid great attention to manufacture of blades from composite materials, developed by VIAM.

In the course of the working meeting, Heads of scientific-research bureau of VIAM Larisa V. Chursova and Vladislav V. Antipov told the specialists of the plant about constructional and functional materials of new generation and technologies of their production for helicopter engineering.

Acting general designer of Moscow helicopter plant named after ML. Mile, Nikolai S. Pavlenko highly appreciated new developments of VIAM and noted the necessity to develop cooperation in the field of import substitution of foreign PCM for advanced products of the plant.

It should be noted, that the parties have determined the promising directions of work in the field of materials science in order to provide competitiveness of helicopters under development.
