On November 2, 2016, a delegation of the Republic of India, headed by Pankadzh Saran, the Ambassador to the Russian Federation visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

In the course of the visit, the parties discussed the prospects of development in the field of science and innovations.

The specialists of VIAM told the guests about the main directions of the institute`s activity, achievements in the field of development of materials and manufacturing technologies of new generation as well as about the progress in development and implementation of additive technologies.

Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM pointed out, that additive technologies were a true indicators of the innovative development of the state.

The specialists of VIAM demonstrated Pankadzh Saran samples of parts, produced by additive technologies from metal powder compositions, developed at VIAM.

The guests got acquainted with scientific-research and manufacturing complexes, laboratories, and high-technology low-tonnage manufacture.

The representatives of the Republic of India highly appreciated the activity of VIAM and expressed confidence in the long-term mutually advantageous cooperation.
