On October 20, 2016, Maksim Akhmetzyanov and Anna Buyakina, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) participated in the work of the scientific and technical conference “Klimov readings-2016. Advanced directions of the development of aircraft engine building”. The event was held at a branch of OJSC “Klimov” in St.-Petersburg.
Within the framework of the readings the employees of VIAM made reports. Maksim Akhmetzyanov reported about high heatproof, welding, hardened by inner azotization alloys for details and units of advanced GTE.
In turn, Anna Buyakina reported about influence of high-temperature processing on characteristics of creep rupture and short-term strength of new heat-resistant wrought Ni-based alloy for turbine disks.
As Anna Buyakina informed, “the conference allowed the participants not only to present their reports and speak about projects, but also to listen to the colleagues` comments, and pick up available information”. Maksim Akhmetzyanov also noticed that it was very important for materials scientists to participate in such events, because “Exchanging information and experience in this particular way may lead to interesting thoughts and promising ideas.”
