On October 3, 2016, scholarly discussion “Nonorganic and organic powder compositions and materials for additive technologies” was held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM). Representatives of the Branch of chemistry and materials sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the event.

Academicians of RAS have discussed experimental and applied researches in the field of additive technologies. Besides, practical results of execution of works with the participation of the institutes of RAS ranging from fundamental and exploratory researches to development of industrial technologies of production of new metallic and composite materials with the use of resource and energy-saving technologies were announced.

The guests got acquainted with scientific-research and manufacturing complexes, laboratories, high-technology low-tonnage manufactures within the framework of the visit. They gave attention to developments of VIAM in the field of additive technologies.
