On September 27, 2016, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) participated in a seminar “Implementation of additive technologies into production of gas turbine engines developed by NPO Saturn”.

The seminar was held on the base of research and production association “Saturn” in Rybinsk. The participants discussed results of work on development and implementation of additive technologies into production of GTE parts and determined promising areas of cooperation.

Olga G. Ospennikova, Head of Scientific-research bureau of VIAM “Head-resistant cast and wrought alloys and steels, protective coatings for GTE components” welcomed the participants in her opening speech and noted the topicality of the seminar.

In the course of the meeting, Heads of VIAM`s laboratories made reports. So, Alexander G. Evgenov reported about formulations development and research of metal-powder compositions of high heat-resistant nickel and aluminum alloys.

In turn, Svyatoslav V. Nerush prepared a report on development of synthesis technologies of low-sized GTE.
